Sheperd's Pie
I didn't want a mushy topping. So I boiled some potatoes till nearly cooked. Then grated them down. When it's all cooled down, I grated some really cold butter and mix this with the grated potatoes. Top on the cooled down minced mixture and bake in oven about 200degC till the crust is nice. Really nice.
For the minc mixture: I used
1kg minced beef
handful of sausage meat
cook this with chopped onions and frozen chopped spinach.
Salt, pepper and some oregano (actually I bought this bottle of oregano water and since it's too putrid to drink I pour it in)
Then I mixed in some cornflour to give the mixture a moist feel.
Then I layer minced mixture on baking dish. With a layer of ricotta cheese and top with the grated potato topping.
